Best Table Saws Under $200: 2024 Review & Buying Guide

Best table saws under $200

No workshop is complete without a table saw. It is the stepping stone from handheld tools to a machine that opens up a whole new level of opportunities. Even with a budget of $200, there are reliable table saws to choose from.

You have to manage your expectations, though. Your buying options will be limited to lower-tier circular blade table saws or table saws with jigsaw blades.

Jigsaw blade options will work great with projects involving curves. Table saws under $200 with a circular saw blade are suitable for light-duty rip cuts and crosscuts.

I want to help you get the most bang for your buck. Let’s take a look at the five highest-rated cheap table saws that I could find online. I will explain why the TUFFIOM 10-inch Table Saw gets my vote as the best table saw under $200.

The saw comes with a 60T Blade, a stand, anti-kickback pawls, a blade guard, a push stick, a miter gauge, and a guide fence.

The unit’s weight is just over 44 pounds. Some easily managed assembly of the saw is required. This makes it not quite as portable as the smaller saws.

The no-load speed of the table saw is 5000 RPM. TUFFIOM created this inexpensive table saw for light projects around the home.

The alignment of the blade has been a problem and maybe a severe safety hazard, but the guide fence could be of better quality.

The unit comes with a ‎limited warranty.

  • Sturdy steel table for greater rigidity.
  • Can cut larger sections of timber.
  • Tabletop is solid.
  • The blade can be height-adjusted
  • You can set the blade for bevel cuts.

Materials that you’ll be able to cut are timber up to one and a half inches, aluminum up to three-eighths thick, steel up to one-eighth thick, and ceramic tiles up to three-eighths thick. There is also a scrolling blade for tight corners. This gives you some idea of the scope of work that you can accomplish using this machine.

Changing blades is an easy and quick process requiring no tools.

3. INTRADIN M1H-ZP3-254 2701S042 10″ Table Saw

On Sale
INTRADIN M1H-ZP3-254 2701S042 10' Table Saw/Stand
  • Powerful 15A motor
  • Features a 10” blade
  • 32-3/5” table height

OVERVIEW

This table saw from Intradin comes with a stand that houses a ten-inch circular saw blade. Powered by a one hundred and twenty Volt, fifteen amp motor, this table saw is sufficiently powerful to cut through three-inch timber.

The weight of the one-piece table and the stand is forty-three pounds. Unfortunately, the table saw isn’t actually that portable because the table and the stand are connected, and the legs don’t fold.

The blade has a height adjustment facility, and you can angle it from zero to forty-five degrees, which makes it easy to make bevel cuts.

A miter gauge provides support when cutting miters up to forty-five degrees.

This table saw is intended for small home projects, but it will also cut larger planks with certain limitations.

PROS

  • It can handle fair-sized timber used in most home applications.
  • You can accurately adjust the depth of the cut.
  • After-sales service is good.
  • Can handle small light-duty projects

CONS

  • Lightweight construction may be a little fragile for more robust operation.

A dead honest lightweight table saw for home-type small projects.

4. WORX WX572L BladeRunner x2 Portable Tabletop Saw

Worx WX572L 5.5 Amp BladeRunner Portable Electric...
  • [GREAT AT CROSS & RIP CUTS] The steel rip fence and riving knife system lets you perform an assortment of straighter, longer, wider cuts
  • [TRULY PORTABLE TABLE SAW] Weighing in at less than 15 lbs., you easily can move it around your workshop or even take it to the job site
  • [ADJUSTABLE MITER GAUGE] Makes 0-60 miter cuts from both the right and left sides, so you can make every common miter cut, and every angle in-between

OVERVIEW

WorxWX572L table saw is a truly portable little saw weighing just under fifteen pounds. The saw comes with five blades to cut a variety of materials, including ceramic tiles and aluminum. You also get a scroll blade for cutting tight curves.

There is no facility to angle the blade, and the maximum thickness of the cut is two inches. There is also no facility to change the speed of the motor.

This table saw is basically a jigsaw mounted upside down under a table. The guide for straight cuts seems to have trouble ensuring an accurate cut, but then again, it is difficult to cut perfectly straight with a jigsaw.

The saw is designed to be used for lightweight home projects, and generally, it scores pretty high on most issues except accuracy.

The saw comes with all the basics: a fence guide, a miter gauge, and an adapter to fit a vacuum cleaner hose.

There is a three-year warranty on the product.

The saw runs off a power supply of twenty volts using a transformer, and no batteries are required.

PROS

  • Lightweight and portable.
  • The miter gauge works on both sides.
  • It can be used to cut a range of materials
  • Comes with an adapter for a vacuum hose

CONS

  • Only a single-speed operation.
  • No bevel facility
  • Despite rubber feet, the level of vibration requires bolting the saw down.

WORX aims at the small home project market with this table saw, and I believe it fulfills that role quite well. It will not serve you that well if you intend to work with any construction-size materials.

5. Huanyu Mini Table Saw

  • [LIFTABLE SAW BLADE]: The 110mm special alloy saw blade has high concentricity. Which can be raised and lowered by adjusting the screw hole on the table with an Allen wrench. The cutting depth is...

OVERVIEW

The machine is small. Really small, roughly nine by eight by six inches. So, bear that in mind when considering what type of projects you intend to build.

It has a three-hundred-watt motor that powers a circular saw blade of just over four inches in diameter. The saw weighs just a little under ten pounds.

The blade can be raised and lowered with the aid of an Allan wrench, but the blade is locked at ninety degrees. This provides a cutting depth from zero to just over one inch. There is a facility to set the speed to seven levels.

You can set the miter gauge to cut miters through a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree range.

An extra feature of this saw is the small drill chuck that allows for a variety of additional operations, and although the provided chuck is a quarter-inch, you can upgrade to a larger chuck.

A fence guide provides a guide to make parallel cuts. However, the size of the unit significantly limits the overall capacity of cutting.

A separate power bank supplies the power to the motor. The power bank operates on 220 and 110 Volt supply.

Another exciting feature of this saw is that it offers the basic set plus the option of two additional sets for an extra charge.

PROS

  • Has some great features for small project work in different materials.
  • Great customer relations. ‘Forever friend’ after-sales service
  • Blade height is adjustable
  • RPM has seven different speed settings

CONS

  • Limited to very small home projects
  • The electrical connection could be better

Huanyu offers a great little saw for crafting and small home projects with some interesting attachment options.

How to get the most out of your 200 dollars

Know the limitations

Table saws under $200 can make your woodworking a whole lot easier and enjoyable. Improved accuracy and greater efficiency are just some of the benefits.

However, there are limitations. Your choice will be limited to small table saws that are designed for light cutting. Trying to pass a three-inch-thick beam through one of these machines is not going to do you or the machine any good. So be aware that these machines are not suitable for heavy-duty work.

Jigsaw-blade vs circular-blade table saws. Which is better?

Small table saws are available in two basic formats: circular saw blade saws and jigsaw blade saws. Both saws offer greater control over the use of handheld tools. Using a table saw means that you move the wood or other material through the machine. This allows greater control compared to moving the saw through the workpiece.

The smaller table saws are relatively lightweight, and can you can move them around with little effort. The jigsaw-type table saws are typically placed on top of a workbench, while the circular saw blades table saws have to be fitted to a stand.

Both saws can rip (cut with the grain), and cross-cut, but jigsaw table saws can cut curves as well. Circular saw blades can’t cut curves.

With that said, it is much easier and way more efficient to rip timber with a circular table saw blade.

What materials can you cut?

Jigsaw-type table saws have the advantage over the scope of materials they can cut. All the machines in this review can cut more than just wood. Some of them come with a selection of different blades right out of the box.

While circular table saws can cut plastic and PVC materials quite comfortably, you will have to fit a special blade if you want to move other materials like aluminum. Changing circular saw blades is a lot more complicated and time-consuming than replacing a jigsaw blade.

Cutting Joints and grooves

Circular saw blades do have an advantage, however, in that they can do partial cuts. With a circular saw blade set to a specific depth, you can cut different joints. You won’t be able to do these operations on a jigsaw table saw.

With jigsaw-type table saws, you can cut intricate shapes. This is especially useful when cutting shapes to fit corners, such as flooring. Technically, while circular saw blades can also do this, they have severe limitations in the scope of what they can cut, whereas jigsaw blades are incredibly versatile in cutting shapes.

Small and delicate work

For precision miter cuts like picture frames, the circular saw blade will provide a more accurate cut in much less time than using a jigsaw blade.

However, the jigsaw blade is better for cutting small wooden puzzles, much like a fret saw would be used in the more traditional role. For really tight curves, you will require a special jigsaw blade.

Safety issues

So now you need to weigh up which type of blade is going to suit your needs. There is, however, one more issue to consider. Table saws are dangerous. Much more dangerous than woodworking jigsaws and circular saws. Take great care and use the guides and stock feeds to get the blade safely through the timber. Gentle pressure is the way to go, and forcing the pace will only cost you excessive wear on your machine and the danger of serious injury.

Move to greater precision with a table saw

Fine cuts and removing only a tiny fraction of an inch of material can be made quickly on a table saw by utilizing the fence guide.

Making angular cuts is a relatively straightforward operation on a table saw. The utilization of guides allows for accurate and easy cutting of bevels and miters.

You can easily set up the table saw to cut repetitive cuts of equal length. The guides provide accurate stops so that you can cut a number of pieces to the same size without the need to measure each piece.

So which one is best?

The price range for all the budget table saws reviewed is pretty similar, but I think it is unfair to compare jigsaws with circular saws. With that said, I will split my vote between small project saws and really small project saws.

If you are doing projects that involve cutting irregular shapes and curves, you will need the jigsaw-type table saw. For that, I would say that Rockwell RK7323 BladeRunner edges out the competition, and it does have a three-year warranty.

For the circular saw type table saw, the TUFFIOM 10-inch Table Saw gets my vote mainly for its honesty. It is a simple, basic, small project saw and does everything that you would need within that category.
